NFL Draft profile: Devin White

Devin White may not be available when the Bengals pick in the first round, but his on-field athleticism and overall upside is definitely worth a look.

Devin White Video Draft Profile

Devin White is arguably the best linebacker in the 2019 draft class. But is he worthy of a top-10 pick, or is he being pushed up by a weaker linebacker class?

That is part of the question that I wanted to answer when making this draft profile.

Devin White Athletic Profile:

  • Height: 6’ 0”
  • Weight: 237 pounds
  • 40 Yard Dash: 4.42 seconds
  • Vertical Jump: 39.5”
  • Broad Jump: 118”
  • 3-Cone Drill: 7.07 seconds
  • 20 Yard Shuttle: 4.17 seconds
  • Bench Press: 22 reps

White’s aggressiveness encapsulates the fundamental positives and negatives in his game. In most instances, his attacking play-style puts him in great position to make key stops. When it took him out of his fits and subsequently out of the play, LSU’s defense suffered from time to time. This dynamic is not unique to White compared to other linebackers, but his production and athletic upside separates him from the pack.

Overall, White has phenomenal athleticism and a sky-high ceiling, but he will need some work to hit that ceiling in the NFL if he is ever able to. To see the full breakdown of his game and the pro comparison that best fits him, check out the video above.
