Round 1 of the NFL Draft is in the books, but there’s still plenty of fireworks that continue tonight with Rounds 2-3.
For the Bengals, they’ll go back on the clock with the 42nd pick, which could be used to find Andy Dalton’s successor.
And it doesn’t necessarily mean actually using the pick on a college prospect.
BetOnline has released a new set of odds for tonight’s draft action, and it includes the Bengals being linked to Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen:
Josh Rosen Game 1 of 2019 Regular Season
- Miami Dolphins 3/2
- Cincinnati Bengals 3/1
- Los Angeles Chargers 4/1
- New Orleans Saints 4/1
- New England Patriots 6/1
- Pittsburgh Steelers 6/1
3-1 odds would suggest there’s a real chance the Bengals make a run at Rosen, but the Dolphins are the favorites for a reason. Recent reports suggest the Dolphins and Cardinals are close to a trade that would send Rosen to Miami.
If the Bengals opt to use their pick, perhaps it will be on Missouri’s Drew Lock or West Virginia’s Will Grier:
Drew Lock Draft Position
- Over/Under 39½
Will Grier Draft Position
- Over/Under 52½
Lock will probably go off the board before the Bengals could get him at 42. Denver at 41 seems like the furthest he’ll fall, but if he is there at 42, that would be a great value pick for Cincinnati.
As for Grier, he’d only be good value if the Bengals take him in Round 3. Most projections have him going in the Round 3 range. NFL.com has him landing with the Patriots at pick No. 73.
Here is a look at some more odds and ends for tonight’s action:
