As OTAs roll on, the Cincinnati Bengals have made a pair of roster moves.

On Wednesday, the team signed offensive tackle Justin Evans. In a corresponding move, the team waived tight end Andrew Vollert.

Evans, who weighs in at 6-5 and 310 pounds, is a first-year player out of South Carolina State. He was originally a college free agent signee of the Baltimore Ravens in 2018. He was waived by the Ravens on final cuts last season, and he later spent time on the practice squads of Washington and the Arizona Cardinals. He was waived by the Cardinals on May 9.

Vollert, a first-year player, spent the final eight games of 2018 on the Bengals’ practice squad after joining the team on Nov. 5. An undrafted free agent out of Weber State, he originally signed with Arizona as a college free agent in May.

Vollert would play in all four preseason games for the Cardinals, and caught eight passes for 55 yards. He was waived at final cuts, then signed to the Cardinals’ practice squad, where he spent the first eight games of the season before being released on Oct. 30 and later joining Cincinnati.
