Marvin Lewis is back in the coaching ranks.

On Tuesday, it was revealed that Lewis will join the Arizona State Sun Devils as a special advisor.

If you recall, Edwards was an NFL head coach from 2001-08 for the Jets and Chiefs, so a good chunk of his tenure came while Lewis was head coach of the Bengals.

After Edwards was fired by the Chiefs in 2008, he spent much of the next decade as an analyst for ESPN before becoming head coach of the Sun Devils.

Lewis, who was fired by the Bengals this offseason after being with the team since 2003, has a home in Arizona, so this gives him a chance to be closer to family. This comes after his brief stint as an AAF commentator before the league folded.

While it was clearly time for Lewis to move on from being a head coach in the NFL, it is good to see he’s found a way to keep coaching. Best of a luck to him!
