PFT shows little love for Bengals in pre-training camp power rankings

Safe to say the folks at PFT aren’t excited to watch the 2019 Bengals.

A new era of Cincinnati Bengals football is set to kick off without long-time head coach Marvin Lewis at the helm for the first time since 2002.

First-year head coach Zac Taylor is tasked with saving the Bengals from what could be a lengthy rebuilding process if they don’t put together a convincing 2019 campaign with the pieces currently intact.

Pro Football Talk doesn’t have much belief that as in their pre-training camp power rankings they pegged the Bengals as the NFL’s 29th best team.

The only teams ranked lower than the Bengals were the Oakland Raiders, Miami Dolphins, New York Giants and Arizona Cardinals.

Not only were the Bengals ranked in the bottom five, but the folks at PFT feel they will be among the most boring teams to watch in recent NFL history, asking “Other than the pre-Mariota Titans, has there been a less interesting team in the last 30 years?”

The Bengals have a lot to prove but should still be an interesting team to watch due to a new offensive mind at the helm with weapons like A.J. Green and Tyler Boyd at his disposal.
