Clayton Fejedelem carted off field vs. Chiefs

Not a great sign for Cincinnati’s special teams ace

UPDATE

The Bengals have since announced it’s a right ankle injury for Clayton Fejedelem, who was declared out for the remainder of the contest.

This will be something to monitor in the coming days, as Fejedelem is a very important part of this defense and special teams. Losing him could open the door for someone like Trayvon Henderson or Demetrious Cox to sneak onto the 53-man roster.

Hopefully, it turns out to be nothing more than an ankle sprain that keeps Fejedelem out for a week or two.

The Bengals almost managed to get through one quarter of preseason football without suffering an injury. Almost.

Safety Clayton Fejedelem was carted off the field late in the first quarter with what appears to be an ankle or foot injury.

Fejedelem had an impressive tackle on a Chiefs’ kickoff return earlier in the game before being put in with the rest of the second-string defense.
