The good news continues to come in on the Joe Mixon front, as Zac Taylor has his running listed as day-to-day regarding his ankle injury.

The good news is that Mixon avoided a serious injury, and is likely not miss any games. He had and MRI that came out positive on Monday, following an ankle injury in Sunday’s battle against the Seahawks that took him out of the game early in the first half.
The bad news is Mixon was unable to practice today, so that makes his status for Sunday very iffy.
Mixon only carried the ball six times on Sunday and totaled only 10 yards. The running game as a whole did not do much in Seattle, so getting Mixon back as soon is possible is key if the Bengals expect to establish any run-pass balance on offense.
Without Mixon, the Bengals are going to be stretched thin at running back, with Giovani Bernard taking over the workhorse role in Mixon’s absence. If Mixon remained sidelined, Samaje Perine and Trayveon Willis could see their first regular-season action in a Bengals uniform as well. Williams just returned from his foot injury and could play this Sunday, though it will likely be Bernard and Perine getting most of the touches if Mixon is out.
