Bengals lose CB B.W. Webb to right arm injury

The Bengals aren’t playing well, and the injuries are piling up.

NFL: Preseason-Indianapolis Colts at Cincinnati Bengals Bob Meyer-USA TODAY Sports

The Bengals defense takes another loss as starting nickel corner B.W. Webb was declared questionable to return with a right arm injury. Although, it is hard to imagine they put him back in with the Bengals down by 31 points.

Webb is playing place of Darqueze Dennard who is currently on the physically unable to perform list. Webb left the game with only a single tackle on the day.

Cincinnati’s defense has struggled since taking the field, and Webb’s presence and absence didn’t do much to shift that needle.

The Bengals will probably go with more three safety or linebacker sets with Webb out. If they choose to bring in a third corner it would probably be Tony McRae or Darius Phillips. The 49ers probably won’t be going to the air anytime soon though.

Hopefully Webb is able to return to practice this week and help get this defense back on track.
