This is not surprising.

The Cincinnati Bengals haven’t kicked off the 2019 season like many had hoped. After dropping a highly competitive road game to Seattle, the team was absolutely blown out in their home opener to the 49ers.

Now, they’ll be traveling for their second away game of the season. This time, it’ll be the Bills that they’ll be matched up against. Buffalo is surprisingly 2-0, beating both the Jets and Giants, two of the worst teams in the NFL.

If the Bengals are going to get back on track, they need this game. This would be a huge victory as Cincinnati will head to Heinz Field immediately after, a place they’ve had notable struggles in the past.

That said, the early odds are not favoring Cincinnati. All the markets have the Cincinnati Bengals opening up as six-point underdogs. The over/under for the game is currently set at 44. Both of these seem extremely fair and will be difficult decisions.

Allowing 41 points in their Week 2 defeat, the Bengals and 49ers was virtually a toss up on the spread and absolutely obliterated the over/under that was set in the mid 40s.

As for Week 1, Cincinnati rewarded bettors, although they dropped the game 21-20. The spread favored Seattle by more than one point, almost making them double-digit favorites.

The Bengals are 1-1 against the spread the season and also 1-1 against the over/under.

This game will be equally difficult to predict. After looking like an elite offense coupled with a capable defense in Week 1, the Bengals re-wrote everything about their season in Week 2. Can Andy Dalton get back on line while still without his main offensive weapon?

Who knows?

That said, bet on the Bengals are your own risk in Week 3.
