Vontaze Burfict doesn’t deserve to be in the NFL.
Burfict now plays for the Oakland Raiders after spending the last seven seasons with the Bengals. That said, the Queen City is very familiar with Burfict’s antics. Now, Cincinnati can see them in a clearer light given that these heinous plays aren’t on their team.
Here’s the hit that got Burfict booted early in the second quarter.
This is the most Vontaze Burfict play ever.— Sam Monson (@PFF_Sam) September 29, 2019

This isn’t the first time Burfict has made uncalled for hit like this. The linebacker has a reputation for making hits that are just completely unnecessary and actually paint the game in a negative light.
The sad part is that he has talent. Burfict’s 177 combined tackles in 2013, his second season in the league, led the NFL. He had over 115 solo tackles that year. A former Pro Bowler, Burfict is a force; sadly, that’s not how he’ll go down in the record books.
Let’s just say his hits don’t sit well with some of those covering the NFL either.
I don't mind saying it again: Vontaze Burfict is the dirtiest player in NFL history. Firmly believe that. And he should really be booted from the league.— Frank Schwab (@YahooSchwab) September 29, 2019
Should they though?
That hit above is disgusting. Doyle may have never walked again after being absolutely drilled in the head like that. Should the NFL ban the veteran linebacker after a hit like that?
That’s for the league to determine, but if you ask the bulk of fans, it’s a yes. They need to send a message that this game does have some negative side effects, but plays like this have no space in the game that’s grown to be America’s pastime.
Burfict had some great seasons in Cincinnati, but it’s time to get him out of this league before a player is seriously injured.
