Good ol’ NFL football returns tonight, as the Chicago Bears host the Green Bay Packers to kick off the 2019 season.

The NFL’s oldest rivalry resumes in Chicago, where the Bears went 7-1 last season with the lone loss being to the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots. That strong home record included a narrow 24-17 win over the Packers, who won in the regular-season opener in thrilling fashion, as Aaron Rodgers rallied his team to a 24-23 win after Green Bay fell behind 20-0.

That setback didn’t stop Chicago from finishing 12-4 and winning the NFC North, while the Packers floundered to a 6-9-1 record, leading to the hiring of a new head coach in former Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Matt Lafleur. He’ll have his work cut out for him against a Bears defense that was the best in football last year, and they figure to be at or near the top again this year.
