Bengals vs. Seahawks inactives: Jordan Willis, Andrew Brown are healthy scratches

The Bengals are going heavy at defensive tackle this week.

Cincinnati Bengals v Cleveland Browns

The Bengals and Seahawks have released their inactive players lists for Week 1. For the Bengals, four of the seven players are currently dealing with injuries, and five players come from the offensive side of the ball.

Here’s who will be out for today’s game in Seattle:

  • QB Jake Dolegala
  • RB Trayveon Williams
  • WR A.J. Green
  • WR Auden Tate
  • OL Cordy Glenn
  • DL Jordan Willis
  • DL Andrew Brown

Williams, Green, Tate and Glenn would all be active if they were healthy. Williams missed all of practice last week and is still coming back from a foot injury he suffered in the preseason. Auden Tate practiced in a limited fashion this week, but the team is being cautious with his knee injury he suffered in the preseason.

Glenn is still in the concussion protocol, though he could be close to returning. He failed to practice this week, so rushing him back would’ve been ill-advised. Green is still an unknown number of weeks away from practicing, so expect to see his name on this list for the foreseeable future.

As for the healthy players, Dolegala is the team’s third quarterback and is unlikely to ever dress unless either Andy Dalton or Ryan Finley get hurt in the previous week.

Willis and Brown are two of the team’s 11 defensive lineman, a group that was expected to sit two players. With both of them out, that means the defense is rolling with three nose tackles in Andrew Billings, Josh Tupou and Renell Wren, who is playing in his first career regular season game.

Here are the inactives for the Seahawks:

  • WR Gary Jennings
  • WR John Ursua
  • WR David Moore
  • C Joey Hunt
  • DE Ezekiel Ansah
  • DE L.J. Collier
  • CB Parry Nickerson

It’s a good thing Jadeveon Clowney is a Seahawk, because missing Ansah and Collier is going to hurt a little for that defensive line. The same goes for the offense having DK Metcalf with Jennings, Ursua and Moore all out for Russell Wilson’s offense.
