Chalk Talk: Joe Burrow prepares for title game, and a new contender reemerges

In preparation for Joe Burrow’s final game at LSU, I am joined by Seth Galina who just wrote a great article for SB Nation’s LSU page, And the Valley Shook, about how Burrow has changed over the course of the season. He started out as the mild-mannered Bruce Banner picking defenses apart with precise timing and at some point transformed into the Hulk smashing defenses outside of structure.

Seth and I talk about this change and what to expect from Burrow in the National Championship.

Of course, the big news this week was about another quarterback. I metaphorically sit down with Clint Lamb of Roll Tide Wire to talk Tua Tagovailoa.

  • What is his prognosis?
  • Where will he likely go in the draft?
  • What would be the best fit for Tua?

Clint and I discuss what a fun debate Burrow/Tua would have been if the Alabama quarterback stayed healthy this season.

These Chalk Talk episodes have been available throughout the season and will continue into the offseason. Be sure to tune in, as we continue to break down the X’s and O’s.

All of the film review content will be on SB Nation’s Cincy Jungle podcast channel, along with the other episodes of The Orange and Black Insider. New shows like the “Orange is the New Black” podcast from Ace Boogie and Zim WhoDey and “Sorry If I Spit When I Speak” from Dadio Makdook and Dr. Hodgie Smodgie have also been added to the channel’s audio slate.

The video of my film reviews can be found on the OBI YouTube page and/or Cincy Jungle’s Facebook page. Thanks for watching!
