Tyler Boyd has emerged as the Bengals’ number one receiver over the last two seasons, since A.J. Green has spent most of that time on the sidelines with an injury.

According to NFL Matchup, Boyd is among the league’s top receivers, especially from the slot.

With 661 receiving yards from the slot, Boyd is seventh in the NFL in that category, ranking above Pro Bowler and division rival Jarvis Landry. His 13.8 yards per reception rank higher than other stars like Julian Edelman and Larry Fitzgerald.

Boyd’s 1046 total receiving yards was good for 25th in the league, which is impressive given how badly the Bengals’ offense struggled in 2019.

Boyd has been huge for the Bengals lately, which helped him earn a $43 million contract extension. It looks like a good deal for both sides after year one of the new deal, and that will hopefully continue in the years to come.
