It’s an interesting time to be a Bengals fan. The 2019 season was emotionally draining, as their new head coach tied a franchise record for the worst single-season record at 2-14.

On the other hand, the team has the No. 1 pick and is poised to select the best quarterback prospect since the last two franchise-changers selected by the Indianapolis Colts. But, as it goes with the team, the talking heads are doling out the insults to the franchise when it comes to selecting Joe Burrow.

The Orange and Black Insider crew talked about the LSU Tigers quarterback, the comments about the team and much more this week.

On this week’s episode:

  • Joe Burrow capped off what many believe is the best college season we’ve ever seen by an NCAA quarterback.
  • The national media is using what seems like a rallying call for Burrow to eschew the opportunity to play for the Cincinnati Bengals. Why is that so and how much validity is in the sentiment?
  • Patrick Queen, K’Lavon Chaisson, A.J. Terrell and others in the National Championship game piqued our interest, as we continued our list of 2020 prospects to watch.
  • John and Anthony also kicked off a free agency wish list for the Bengals, with two areas of major need.
