Atkins was nominated for the award last year, but lost out to his former teammate and current Los Angeles Ram Andrew Whitworth.
The defensive tackle has been such a contribution to the Cincinnati community over the years, especially during the Christmas season with his “Atkins week of giving.”
The winner of the award will be voted by their peers, and will be announced during the Super Bowl.
