Another offseason, another Browns rebuild. New head coach Kevin Stefanski is adding to his coaching staff.

Tom Pelissero reported on Monday that the Brows plan on hiring Bill Callahan, father of current Bengals’ offensive coordinator Brian Callahan.

Bill Callahan last coached for the Redskins, where he was the interim head coach after they fired Jay Gruden.

He previously coached the offensive line for the Redskins, Jets, and Cowboys. He was also a head coach for the Raiders and the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Callahan has a huge task ahead of him, as Baker Mayfield was sacked 40 times last year. Improving pass protection will be at the top of his to do list.

Working with a division rival, he will get the chance to go up against his son twice a year. Some Bengals fans were hoping to see the team hire Callahan to help the offensive line, but it looks like Jim Turner will be leading the unit again in 2020.
