The Cincinnati Bengals have the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and it’s widely assumed that they’ll be going with LSU quarterback Joe Burrow who is coming off arguably the best season of all-time by a collegiate quarterback.
Having won the CFP National Championship Game, Burrow is now starting to prepare for the NFL Draft. However, he will not be playing in the 2020 Senior Bowl.
In that time between the championship and draft, both players related to the situation and coaches involved are asked about their perspective on the man that may be the face of the franchise for decades to come. Zac Taylor and company have already addressed the media regarding Burrow.
That said, one player who gave his opinion was former LSU offensive tackle and Bengal legend Andrew Whitworth.

Whitworth racked up 164 starts for the Bengals in 11 seasons. Securing four Pro Bowl appearances and two All-Pro nominations in his 14 professional seasons, the former Tiger and former Bengals gave high praise for Burrow.
Sadly, the two are looking unlikely to team up. After low-balling Whitworth on an offer three years ago, he’ll again return to the market, and while offensive tackle is a need for Cincinnati, there’s no expectations that Whitworth will be returning.
As for Burrow, it’s almost guaranteed that he’ll end up in the Queen City. The 23-year-old threw for 5,671 yards and 60 touchdowns. In college football’s toughest conference, Burrow put on an absolute show week in and week out.
For most analysts, it’s between Burrow and Ohio State defensive end Chase Young. Only one of those players could change the direction of a franchise for the foreseeable future, and that’s national champion Joe Burrow.
The NFL Draft is currently slated for April 23-25.
