The Bengals had a big injury scare Sunday when Joe Mixon hurt his foot vs. the Colts.
Thankfully, it turned out to not be serious, and he eventually returned to the game. It was the latest of several minor injuries he’s had this season, including chest and shin issues.
However, this issue may be a little more serious, as Mixon will likely not be practicing Wednesday, according to head coach Zac Taylor.
Zac Taylor said he doesn't expect RB Joe Mixon to practice. Doesn't have an update on his injury status aside from that.

In six games of work, Mixon has 428 yards and three touchdowns on 119 runs (3.6 avg.) while catching 21 balls for 138 yards and a score. He currently has a 65.4 Pro Football Focus grade, though a big part of his struggles have been playing behind easily one of the NFL’s worst offensive lines.
If Mixon were to miss this week’s game vs. the Browns, Giovani Bernard would get the start with veteran Samaje Perine likely getting most, if not all of the backup touches. Fourth-stringer Trayveon Williams has yet to touch the ball this season.
My guess is Mixon will play as long as he logs at least one day of practice, but it’s clear that he’s no lock to play Sunday. If he’s out, it could be a long day in Round 2 of the Battle of Ohio.
