The Cincinnati Bengals have activated defensive tackle Mike Daniels from injured reserve. In a corresponding move, the team waived defensive tackle Kahlil McKenzie from the 53-man roster.
For Sunday’s game vs. the Cleveland Browns, the Bengals elevated cornerback Winston Rose from the practice squad to the active roster while also placing Torry McTyer on the Practice Squad/Injured list. As a practice squad player being elevated to the active roster for the game, Rose automatically will revert to the practice squad on Monday.
Daniels, a ninth-year pro out of the University of Iowa, had been on IR since Oct. 3rd after suffering a right elbow injury in practice on Oct. 1st. The Bengals cleared him to return to practice on Oct. 21 and designated him for return from IR. Daniels has played in two games (both starts at DT) this season, and recorded two tackles.
McKenzie, a second-year player out of the University of Tennessee, had signed from the Bengals’ practice squad to the active roster on Oct. 17. He played in three games for Cincinnati this season and had one tackle.
McTyer, a fourth-year player out of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, suffered a knee injury in practice on Thursday.
