The Bengals may have lost left tackle Jonah Williams to an injury in their Week 7 clash with the Browns.
In the second quarter, Williams was seen on the sideline giving his helmet to a member of the training staff and then left for the locker room, a sign he’s being tested for a concussion.

Fred Johnson will likely take over at LT.

However, the team has announced it’s a neck injury and Williams is doubtful to return.
This would be a massive loss for an already battered and struggling Bengals offensive line, as Williams has easily been the team’s best lineman through the first seven weeks. His 74.3 Pro Football Focus grade is one of the highest on the team, as the former 11th overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft has done well on the blindside of rookie Joe Burrow (though he has given up a couple of sacks today).
As mentioned above, Williams being out could lead to the embattled Fred Johnson being moved to left tackle. He’s started two games at guard this season and was woefully ineffective.
We will update this post if any more details on Williams come out.
