Bengals Notebook: Injury updates and roster overhaul in 2020
The overhaul the Bengals began with new kinds of fresh moves, starting with the organization revamping the coaching staff as thoroughly as it's ever been revamped in 2019 and continuing with nearly $200 million committed this year in free agency at the advent of a once-in-a-century pandemic, took another uncharacteristic turn six days before the NFL trade deadline.

Carlos Dunlap reflects on a decade of memories with the Cincinnati Bengals
"I'm just grateful for every single thing Cincinnati has done for me, my career, my family and helping me to grow, supporting me to grow along the way," said Dunlap Wednesday afternoon as the Bengals practiced without him in the wake of the trade to Seattle.

Bengals Acquire B.J. Finney And Draft Pick For Carlos Dunlap In Trade With Seattle
Finney (6-4, 318), a fifth-year player out of Kansas State University, originally was a college free agent signee of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2015. He was with the Steelers through 2019, before signing with the Seahawks as an unrestricted free agent in March. He has played in 65 career games, with 13 starts.

Joe Burrow Named The FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week for Week 7
Burrow has passed for at least 300 yards in five of his seven games this season. That's a feat only 14 other QBs in league history have pulled off at any point of their career. He's also the only rookie ever to do it. The Bengals' signal caller currently stands just one 300-yard passing game shy of the NFL rookie record of six, set in 2012 by Colts QB Andrew Luck.

Reports: Cincinnati Bengals to trade Carlos Dunlap to the Seattle Seahawks.
The trade would resolve open issues with defensive end Carlos Dunlap by sending their active sack leader to Seattle in exchange for fifth-year offensive lineman B.J. Finney and a seventh-round draft pick, reports say. It would be the first time in recent memory the Bengals have received both a player and a pick in a trade.

Carlos Dunlap trade shows Bengals are all in on Zac Taylor
In a team meeting on Sept. 21, Dunlap and coach Zac Taylor got into a heated exchange four days after the Week 2 loss to the Cleveland Browns, according to sources who witnessed the event. It was a tenuous point between Dunlap and the franchise, one that escalated in recent weeks.

NFL Week 8 odds, picks: Titans cover against Bengals, Raiders upset Browns
Week 6 and Week 7 of the 2020 NFL season were probably the two toughest weeks to predict so far as it relates to gambling, but we still walked away with a winning a record. We went 17-10-1 over the last two weeks, and possibly 18-10 depending on where you grabbed the Cincinnati Bengals' spread against the Cleveland Browns. Thankfully, Cody Parkey missed the extra point after the Browns' game-winning touchdown, so we technically got a wash on the Bengals +3, but I know some of you grabbed it at +3.5.

Zac Taylor, Mike Brown comment on Bengals trading Carlos Dunlap
Shortly after the team officially announced the trade of Dunlap to the Seattle Seahawks, both Bengals head coach Zac Taylor and team president Mike Brown had plenty to say on the topic.

An Open Letter to Carlos Dunlap: Thank you, Employee 96
After a successful collegiate career and national championship at the University of Florida, Carlos Dunlap’s NFL dreams came true when the Cincinnati Bengals selected him with the 54th overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.

Bengals expected to sign former Bills G Quinton Spain
Cincinnati finally moved on from the disgruntled Carlos Dunlap via trade with Seattle, acquiring some much-needed offensive line help in return in the form of B.J. Finney, but the Bengals aren't stopping there.

Seahawks boost pass rush, trade for Bengals defensive end Carlos Dunlap
And they did so for what felt like a relative pittance, in reserve offensive lineman B.J. Finney — who had not played an offensive snap this season — and a 2021 seventh-round pick. The trade came together “in really rapid fashion,” in the words of head coach Pete Carroll.

Around the league

Bucs' Brady, Titans' Henry lead Players of the Month
Forty-three years young and still one of the game's elite, Tom Brady turned in an outstanding October that was highlighted by him throwing 12 touchdowns and leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a 3-1 mark.

Rodgers: 'Absolutely crazy' to think Mike Zimmer is on hot seat after 1-5 start
Typically a strong suit of the Vikings, the defense has not held up its end of the bargain this season, currently sitting at 28th in yards allowed per game and 30th in points allowed per game. A lot of that has to do with personnel changes, including a high-profile addition -- edge rusher Yannick Ngakoue -- that simply didn't work out. Veteran defensive end Everson Griffen left in free agency, and elite defensive end Danielle Hunter also hasn't played a down in 2020. He won't suit up until next year after undergoing successful neck surgery this week.

McDermott on Cam Newton ahead of AFC East showdown: We know what he's capable of
"He's a good player, we have a lot of respect for him and he's the former MVP of the league for a reason," McDermott said this week, via the Boston Globe. "We know full well what he's capable of."

Arians: AB looked 'fantastic' in first day with Buccaneers
"He looks fantastic," Arians said Wednesday, via team transcript. "I think we had really good conversations today, he and I. He was in the meetings and everything and he's working with Anthony Piroli and the strength staff. He looks in great shape and ready to go next week."
