This week I focus on 3 areas. The offensive line, the pass catchers, and the defense.
After Joe Burrow was sacked 8 times this past weekend, he is now just shy of pace to set the all-time record for sacks taken by a quarterback in a single season. As a result, the offensive line and offensive line coach Jim Turner are understandably taking criticism.
Zac Taylor points out that not all sacks were the offensive line’s fault, and he’s right. Some were on Burrow or scheme limitations.
What is really going on with the offensive line?

John Sheeran posted the above video earlier in the week.
We all knew that Burrow needed to build rapport with his pass catchers, but this points to something else: They need to build rapport with each other.
The defense is another unit that has taken a lot of heat. The have struggled against the run all season and gave up a touchdown at the end of each half in Week 3.
But players like Carl Lawson and William Jackson have impressed while others like Logan Wilson and Akeem Davis-Gaither have shown promise. What could the return of Geno Atkins mean for this team?
I talk about these 3 areas in depth in this week’s podcast.
