Bengals vs. Titans: Week 8 Madden Simulation

The Bengals will be going into their match with the Titans very banged up with three offensive lineman out for the game. As a group, that was already a weakness that is very concerning.

Joe Burrow will need to play smart to give the Bengals a chance in this matchup. He will be doing it while running for his life all game, but he has been doing that all season, so he should be able to handle it in this scenario too.

Well, with that said let’s take a look at the Madden Sim to try to predict the week 8 outcome.

To start off the game the Titans receive the ball, and the Bengals weak run defense shows all the first drive. Derrick Henry is able to move the ball without much issue against the Bengals defense. There is literally no one in front of Derrick Henry as he jumps into the end zone.

Titans: 7-0

After this drive the Bengals attempt to drive down the field and are not able to get far. Their defense finally is able to stop Derrick Henry and the Titans are forced to punt. The Bengals drive down the field but with four minutes left Burrow is sacked out of field goal range and the Titans receive the punt. As is tradition with these Bengals, they give up points after the two minute warning giving up a field goal with a minute and a half to go.

Titans: 10-0

The Bengals are not able to score before halftime, but also receive the ball after the half and come out ready to go driving down the field. They get way down the field and are looking good, but the drive stalls on third down. However they are within field goal range, and Randy Bullock makes the kick to keep the Bengals in this one.

Titans: 10-3

After the Bengals bring it within one score they and the Titans are not able to get any good drives going to put the game away or try and get it even closer. The Bengals drives keep stalling out due to poor blocking for both the run and the pass.

Eventually though, the Titans receive a Bengals punt with about four minutes left with the Bengals trying to get the stop to stay in it. The Bengals not only don’t get the stop, they allow the Titans to completely run the clock out on them.

Titans win 10-3.
