While the Cincinnati Bengals were busy winning their first game of the 2020 season, NFL Films put the microphone on the winning quarterback.
As a part of the Week 4 edition of Inside The NFL, Joe Burrow was mic’d up for his third-straight 300-yard game, which was also his second-career home game and his first-career win.
As you can guess, he was pretty hyped up for all four quarters.
As Burrow put it after the game on Twitter, winning is fun.
It’s always amusing to hear what the players say when we as spectators can only hear whatever broadcast we’re listening to along with the sounds of the crowd. Burrow may be calculated and reserved in front of the media, but his genuine personality unleashed on the field is fascinating to listen to.
This was the first time Burrow had ever had his on-field words recorded, and he admitted during Wednesday’s press conference that he was a bit more careful about what he said into the microphone.
Burrow said he was a little self-conscious while he was mic'd up on Sunday. Said he had to watch what he said because he tends to get a little fired up.— Ben Baby (@Ben_Baby) October 7, 2020
Just four weeks into his career, Burrow is blossoming into the fiery competitor and leader the Bengals drafted him to be.
