The Cincinnati Bengals’ injury report has a couple new additions after Thursday’s practice.
John Ross III (illness) was the only player unable to practice at all, while Joe Mixon (shin) and Markus Bailey (neck) were each limited. Ross has been a healthy scratch for the previous two weeks, so him not getting a full week of practice this week doesn’t help his chances of playing on Sunday.
Mixon might’ve just bruised his shin during practice, so his injury is probably a minor one and won’t impact his availability this week.
The same could be said for Bailey’s neck, but with Logan Wilson (concussion) practicing in full for the first time in two weeks, the Bengals may not need Bailey for this week anyways. It’s good to hear Wilson is back out on the field and getting prepped for his fourth-career game.
The trio of Mackensie Alexander (hamstring), Geno Atkins (shoulder), and Jonah Williams (shoulder) were all limited again on Thursday as well. For Atkins’ case, it seems like we’ll need to see him get a full practice in before believing he’ll make his 2020 debut.

As for the Baltimore Ravens, quarterback Lamar Jackson missed his second-straight practice with a knee injury. When asked about Jackson before Thursday’s practice, offensive coordinator Greg Roman had this to say to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley:
“It kind of falls into the ‘It is what it is’ category,” Roman said. “It’s just part of life of what we do. That’s just how it goes and you make the best of it.”
Per NFL insider Tom Pellisero, Jackson missed practice on Thursday due to an illness and his knee.
#Ravens QB Lamar Jackson missed practice today because of an illness in addition to the knee that popped up on the injury report yesterday. My understanding is both issues are considered minor. They play the #Bengals on Sunday.

It was reported on Wednesday that he was held out due to precautionary reasons, but the situation seems a bit more unclear now than what it was earlier in the week. This is the reigning MVP of the league after all, so he can probably play even if he just practices on Friday.
Jackson is far from the only Raven who’s injured right now. RG Tyre Phillips (shoulder) was the only other player unable to practice due to injury, as both RB Mark Ingram and DT Brandon Williams got rest days.
TE Nick Boyle (thigh), CB Marcus Peters (thigh) and CB Jimmy Smith (knee) were limited after missing Wednesday’s practice. LB Anthony Levine (abdomen), WR Chris Moore (thigh/finger), and LT Ronnie Stanley (shoulder/hip) have been limited for two days in a row, but TE Mark Andrews (thigh) was limited after going full on Wednesday.
Things look good for WR Marquise Brown (knee) and Broderick Washington (illness) as both went full on Thursday after Brown was limited and Washington didn’t practice on Wednesday.
