As the Cincinnati Bengals get back to work, they begin their week of practice with several roster moves.
The Bengals today have cleared OL Xavier Su’a-Filo to return to practice by designating him for return from the Reserve/Injured list. Su’a-Filo had been on the Reserve/Injured list since September 15th after he injured his left ankle in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Su’a-Filo now has 21 days where he can practice with the team without counting against the 53-player active roster. He is eligible to be activated to the roster at any time during that period.
Staying with the offensive line, the team has also signed OL O’Shea Dugas to the practice squad. Dugas (6-4, 335), a second-year player out of Louisiana Tech, was signed as a college free agent by the Bengals following the 2019 NFL Draft. He spent all 16 games last season on Reserve/Injured, due to a knee injury suffered in preseason, and then was waived at final cuts this season.
Earlier on Wednesday, NFL insider Mike Garafolo reported that a Bengals practice squad member tested positive for COVID-19 and the team kept its defensive backs at home due to precautionary purposes. The team expects all players sent home to return tomorrow, as they aren’t deemed high-risk contacts.
Updating here: The #Bengals are now expected to hold a handful of DBs out of practice today, sources tell me and @TomPelissero. Expectation is they’re back tomorrow, so not deemed high-risk contacts as of now. https://t.co/xPDpaw3TV7

The Bengals later announced that DB Winston Rose was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, so he’s the practice squad player who tested positive. Rose will now go through the COVID-19 protocols, but the team did activate LB Jordan Evans and CB Mackensie Alexander off of the Covid-19 list
As of this posting, the Bengals currently have four players on Reserve/Covid-19: Rose, DL Margus Hunt, OT Fred Johnson, and CB Trae Waynes, who is still on the Reserve/Injured list.
