The Cincinnati Bengals today made the following roster moves as preparations for NFL Week 11 begin.

Cornerback Donnie Lewis has been signed to the team’s practice squad. Lewis (6-0, 195), a first-year player out of Tulane University, was a seventh-round draft pick of the Cleveland Browns in 2019. He spent all of last season on Cleveland’s practice squad, and then was waived by the Browns during final cuts before the start of this season.

Cornerback Trajan Bandy has also been signed to the team’s practice squad. Bandy (5-9, 186), a rookie out of the University of Miami, originally was a college free agent signee of the Pittsburgh Steelers in April. He spent the first two weeks of the 2020 season on the Steelers’ practice squad and was waived on September 25th.

While Lewis and Bandy are the latest additions to the team’s 16-man practice squad, defensive end Freedom Akinmoladun has since been taken off of the practice squad and placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. No announcement has been made of any Bengals player testing positive for COVID-19, so Akinmoladun doesn’t necessarily have the virus.

Trae Waynes, who tested positive for COVID-19 during the team’s Week 9 bye week, has been activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list. Waynes will now revert back to the Reserve/Injured list, where he had been since September 7th. Waynes is still recovering from a shoulder injury he suffered on August 11th.
