Joe Burrow getting seriously injured was the worst thing that could possibly happen to the Cincinnati Bengals. Leave it to 2020 for worst case scenarios.
Burrow tore his ACL and MCL when he was hit simultaneously by two Washington Football Team defenders immediately after his 404th pass attempt on the season left his right hand. The 23-year old rookie was carted off of the field as the entire Bengals’ team surrounded him for one last farewell, and many Washington players joined them.
To no one’s surprise, Burrow’s 2020 season ended right then and there, and he may end up missing the start of the 2021 season. The advancements of surgery, rehab, and general recovery time are on Burrow’s side as he begins a challenging, yet achievable, recovery process.
