Joe Burrow’s road to recovery has already begun; he’s even impressing Bengals personnel in his early days of rehab. But no progress is truly made until Burrow’s torn ACL is surgically repaired
Per Bengals Radio Network analyst Dave Lapham, Burrow’s surgery will take place next week in Los Angeles. Burrow trained out in Orange County during the pre-draft process as well.
Lap says: his understanding Joe Burrow will have surgery in Los Angeles next week.

This was expected soon after Burrow’s diagnosis was revealed. The timing of the surgery is dependent on how bad the swelling is in Burrow’s knee, which is why these operations don’t occur directly after the injury takes place. This means that the swelling shouldn’t prohibit them from operating in a timely manner.
With an early December surgery, Burrow will be on track to return at the start of the 2021 season. That of course is a best case scenario, but the Bengals have dealt with torn ACLs before and managed to recuperate those injuries pretty quickly.
