Andrew Whitworth praises Joe Burrow’s surgeon

Whitworth is dealing with his own injury right now, and he’s working with the doctor who will be operating on Burrow.

As you probably know by now, Joe Burrow’s surgery to repair his torn ACL and MCL will occur this week in Los Angeles, California. What you may not know is who will be performing the surgery.

Burrow’s surgery will take place in L.A. because Los Angeles Rams team doctor Neal ElAttrache will be conducting the operation. Dr. ElAttrache has performed on many athletes in his career—most notably Tom Brady over a decade ago after Brady suffered the only major injury in his 20-year Hall of Fame run.

As the Rams’ doctor, he is also treating current Ram and former Bengal Andrew Whitworth, who tore his MCL and PCL earlier in November. Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com reached out to Whitworth about Dr. ElAttrache earlier this week.

“Doc ElAttrache is a great man. Burrow will be in great hands,” Whitworth said. “You feel the passion he has for getting you healthy and keeping you confident in the process.”

Burrow is just nine days into his months-long recovery, but he’s an NFL quarterback and the face of franchise. He’s going to get all the top-notch care he needs to comeback in time. This surgery is one step in the process.
