The Bengals acquired Xavier Su’a-Filo in free agency with the intent of starting him at right guard. That’s just what they did in Week 1, but an injury soon sidelined him. Now he’s back, and he made his first appearance at left guard in relief of Michael Jordan last week.
The injury bug hit the Bengals again as left tackle Jonah Williams was put on injured reserve. Although this hasn’t officially ended his season, the earliest he could come back is Week 17. This means that 6th Round pick Hakeem Adeniji will get another chance in the starting lineup.
This video looks at how the pair performed together on the last drive of last week’s game.
- What does Su’a-Filo do well and what will he need to work on?
- Can Adeniji help the pass protection?
- Can either be a long-term answer?
