With next Monday night's game at Paul Brown Stadium looming against a Steelers defense turning over the league the most and a PBS season finale against a Baltimore defense that has generated the second most fumbles, Bates knows the Bengals have to turn it over to turn over the AFC North.

Why this could be end of A.J. Green's time with Bengals
Before the clock officially ran out on a 30-7 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, the veteran wide receiver scampered across the field to greet Dallas quarterback Andy Dalton. Green and Dalton were the top two picks in the Bengals' 2011 draft class and combined for 8,907 yards and 63 touchdowns before Dalton was released in the offseason.

Cincinnati Bengals Injuries: The Latest on Joe Mixon and Brandon Allen 'Day-to-Day'
“It was just one of those things where I got hit right in the right spot, and a lot of times, you just walk it off and it gets better," Allen said after the game. "I tried to stay out there and walk it off, and it kind of just got tighter and tighter instead. It was obviously affecting me a little bit on some of the throws—it was kind of hard to get any weight into the throws."
Steelers-Bengals: Five things to know about the Week 15 opponent
The Steelers will look to snap their two-game losing streak when they meet the Bengals on Monday in Cincinnati. Here are five things to know about the struggling AFC North rival.
Cincinnati Bengals 7-round mock draft with team inching close to No. 3
The Cincinnati Bengals have lost five straight games to fall to 2-10-1. They have all but locked up a top-three pick in the draft, as all but three teams have at least four wins. The Bengals are going to be in a pretty good position in the draft, as it’s all but a guarantee the first two picks (Jets and Jaguars) will be quarterbacks. Cincinnati will get their pick of the litter at No. 3.

What we learned from Ravens' thrilling Monday night win over Browns
When the AFC North-rival Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns collided on Monday night, a big-game feel came with it. And it did not disappoint. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and Browns QB Baker Mayfield led their teams in a riveting roller coaster of a game that finally concluded with a memorable 47-42 Baltimore win on the strength of a Justin Tucker game-winning field goal.
Debrief: AFC playoff picture taking shape down the stretch
In the context of this season, the Ravens, now 8-5, needed the game more. It was the team's third game in 12 days since a COVID-19 outbreak nearly capsized their season and the NFL's regular season schedule. It was the second game since Jackson returned from a serious bout with the virus that has defined this season, like everything else in American life. I thought about that absence while Jackson missed 11 plays in the fourth quarter with cramps, only to return for a 44-yard touchdown on 4th-and-5 that will remain part of the 2019 MVP's lore as long as he plays. (Even if he didn't "pull a Paul Pierce.")
