Jordan Dalton expresses love for Cincinnati after heartwarming homecoming

JJ and Andy sure do make a good team.

NFL: Pro Bowl-AFC/NFC Practice Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

This past Sunday was more than a homecoming for just Andy Dalton.

The Dallas Cowboys handily beat the Cincinnati Bengals thanks to an impressive game from Dalton, the Bengals’ former quarterback of nine years. There weren’t many fans in the stands to witness it, but Jordan Dalton sure did.

After getting married the same year that Andy became a Bengal, Jordan “JJ” and Andy started a family in Cincinnati and changed many lives in the area by starting the Andy and JJ Dalton Foundation. Those memories resurfaced for JJ this weekend after not only seeing her husband win in Paul Brown Stadium again, but just being in the place they called home for so many years.

Check out the message JJ posted to instagram:

“This weekend was filled with SO many emotions... my heart is full after going back to a place we called home for so long!! LOVED getting to see friends that are such a big part of our life.. loved being surrounded by the people and the community that helped us grow in to who we are today!! It’s so much bigger than football! Football is what brought us all together but faith and friendships are what keep us together!! Thankful for all of the memories in Cincy and thankful for the new memories and friendships in Dallas Ephesians 2:10 for we are Gods handiwork created in Christ Jesus to do good works which he prepared in advanced for us to do!!”

This may be one of the last times that Dalton ever plays in the city of Cincinnati again, but he and J.J. surely won’t be strangers to the city.
