The Cincinnati Bengals may have surprised some with their effort in the first Joe Burrow-less contest of 2020, but the end results were sadly familiar. The team fell to 2-8-1 for the season and those associated with the club are resigned to looking to next April’s draft.
To break down the loss, preview the upcoming contest against the Dolphins and help us figure out the state of the team, we were set to bring in former Bengals great, Tim McGee. Unfortunately, a scheduling issue hit, but good news: he’ll be joining us next week!
John and Anthony went over the odd Wednesday afternoon AFC North clash between the Steelers and Ravens, broke down the positive and negative takeaways from the 19-17 loss to the Giants and previewed Week 13 against Miami. We also added in a “Stat of the Week” surrounding Vonn Bell.
Here are some of the facets of the show!
- Were there any signs from Sunday that point to Brandon Allen being the backup quarterback of the future for the Bengals?
- The special teams crew gave the Bengals a somewhat-unexpected chance to beat New York. If there is a coaching change made, should Darrin Simmons continue to be on the short list?
- Vonn Bell has had an up-and-down year, but our “Stat of the Week” points out some interesting facets to his recent level of play.
- What are the goals for this current coaching staff for the rest of the year, as it spins out of control without their franchise signal-caller?
And much more!
Our thanks to the live listeners and to those who downloaded after the fact! Be sure to join us next week with Tim McGee!Thanks for listening!
