UPDATE
Tyler Boyd has been ruled out for the remainder of the game due to a concussion.
The Bengals got off to a strong start in their Week 15 clash with the Steelers, but they may have lost a key player in the process.
Late in the first quarter, Bengals receiver Tyler Boyd went up for a deep pass from Ryan Finley, but two Steelers defenders batted the ball away. As Boyd fell to the ground, his head banged off the ground. After being down for a few minutes, Boyd was escorted to the medical tent by trainers.
The Bengals have since announced that Boyd is questionable to return as he’s being evaluated for a concussion.
If Boyd is out for the remainder of the game, the Bengals will need A.J. Green, Tee Higgins and Mike Thomas to step up to offset the loss.
Boyd entered the game with 78 grabs for 840 yards and four touchdowns this season. He’s obviously very close to another 1,000-yard season, so it would be unfortunate to see an injury kill those hopes.
We will update this post as more details come out.
