The Bengals made a statement early on in their primetime clash with their bitter rivals.
That was very evident when Bengals safety Vonn Bell absolutely destroyed Steelers receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster on a crossing route in the first quarter.

Thankfully, Smith-Schuster is fine and wasn’t injured by the big hit. That would have obviously taken away from what was a great play and devastating hit by Bell.
There was actually a Bell-Schuster storyline coming into the game, as the Steelers receiver has been routinely dancing on opposing team’s midfield logo before every road game. That upset the Buffalo Bills when he did it last week.
“I’m not going to stop being myself. I’m going to keep being the JuJu I came to be,” Smith-Schuster said of the dancing. “This is something I’ve been doing. I plan to keep doing it.”
When asked about the dancing, Bell made it clear this wouldn’t be tolerated in Cincinnati.
“It’s kind of disrespectful at the end of the day. But they’re on top right now so you can’t really say nothing right now,” Bell said. “We just gotta go out there, between the lines, go out there and hit him and let him know where he stands.”
I’d say Bell is getting the better of this battle early on, and JuJu will think twice about dancing on logos again.
