The Bengals stunned the world with their win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football last week. Now after a short, holiday week, they, travel to Houston to take on the Texans.
Just like the Bengals, the Texans have struggled in 2020. After firing their coach, they are looking to go in another direction and have already conducted head coaching interviews with former Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis among others.
For all of their issues, the Texans have one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL, in Deshaun Watson. The Bengals defense will have their hands full containing him and preventing big plays in the passing game. After dealing with T.J Watt on Monday, the Bengals’ offensive line will have to kick J.J. Watt away from the quarterback this weekend.
While both teams are well out of contention, a win for the Bengals would be important for Zac Taylor and company. It would be the first time in his tenure as head coach that the team has won two games in a row, and it would also be his first road win.
