New, comments

Andy Dalton will likely be playing somewhere else next season, but with a large quarterback free agent class he will have to wait.

NFL Vet Walters Knows The Routes
Troy Walters, who backed up Cris Carter at the end of his career, gave a few breathers to rookie Calvin Johnson and in between once ran a reverse behind a Peyton Manning block, saw how to get to Canton during 98 games and eight seasons with four teams as a Stanford-smart-steel-belted-second-line NFL wide receiver.

Kurt Warner comments on the Joe Burrow comparison, Bengals fans
Warner himself then chimed in on the matter, noting some of his resume and wishing Burrow luck if fans really aren’t happy with that sort of comparison and production:

Rumors: Dolphins & Redskins Talking Trade, Bengals Trade Down?
I feel the need to point out that I know of Dan Sileo but do know him. I also know he has a lot of connections, but I've heard that many in the media industry are skeptical about his track record and claims.

Why Bengals should target Clemson WR Tee Higgins in the 2nd round
Tee Higgins knows Cincinnati Bengals fans should obviously be excited about the upcoming NFL Draft. Slotted with the No. 1 overall pick, the Bengals will likely be picking Heisman winner Joe Burrow — one of the most exciting quarterback prospects in recent years.

NFL power rankings: How long will rankings keep Bengals in the cellar?
Luckily for Bengals fans, the usual offseason dose of optimism is more potent than usual thanks to holding the No. 1 pick and owning droves of cap space, with options available to make even more.

Fates of Brady, Rivers, Newton will impact Andy Dalton, Bengals
The Andy Dalton era is likely over for the Cincinnati Bengals. As much as the front office would probably like to keep the veteran around as a mentor for Joe Burrow, he’s made it pretty clear he wants to be a starter in this league.

Around the league

32 NFL players who could use a fresh start this offseason, from QBs to injured stars
This one is a no-brainer. Dalton wants to be a starting quarterback in the NFL and the Bengals are looking for their next franchise QB. A move is in the best interest for both parties.

Colorado expected to contact Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy
Bieniemy is a Colorado alum, and the school's all-time leader in rushing (3,940 yards -- less than 200 yards ahead of Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay), all-purpose yards (4,351), and touchdowns (42).

Cooks: Jared Goff 'absolutely' the guy to lead Rams
"Absolutely. Yes, he is the guy," Cooks said. "I mean, you talk about a guy that... we had so many different position changes along the offensive line last year. And for any quarterback, that is so tough. To still be able to stand in there and take the licks, it goes to show you that this guy is willing to do whatever it takes to win for his team. And at that young age, when you have that mindset, special things happen."

Ron Rivera, Trent Williams have positive conversation
It appears as if that may no longer be the case. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday the Redskins and Williams have communicated in what sounded like a positive conversation, according to sources familiar with the situation. There is still a long way to go and plenty of issues to sort out, but the Redskins have Williams in their 2020 plans and it is at least encouraging that they're communicating, Rapoport added.
