An SEC quarterback just finished off one of, if not the best seasons a college football passer has ever had, and he did it in arguably the best conference in America.
If you listen to Fox Sports talking head Colin Cowherd, you’d think that was Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa, not LSU’s Joe Burrow.
"I would take Tua No. 1...I've never seen a college QB with numbers like his, ever. And he did it in the SEC."

@ColinCowherd is all in on @Tuaamann

Cowherd cited Tua’s 87 career touchdowns vs. just 11 interceptions with a 69% complete percentage over his career.
Impressive, but not quite as good as Burrow throwing for 60 touchdowns vs. six picks with a 76.3% completion percentage...in one season.
To be fair, this isn’t anything new from Cowherd in regards to Burrow. After all, Cowherd previously said Burrow will never be a top 10 quarterback in the NFL, and that he’d rather have Daniel Jones as his franchise signal-caller moving forward.
Quite the hot take, but at this point, that’s just opinion and speculation. There’s no speculating Burrow just had the greatest season an SEC passer has ever had.
Put some respect in the man’s name.
