Stefon Diggs and Roquan Smith.

Rumor has it, Diggs is getting dangled. Not sure if it is a CAP thing or what but he seems to be a possible trade candidate for Minnesota this year.

Roquan has been injured and supposedly dealt with some "personal issues" over last season. But he is a very good LB and if we could get him in a trade, I'd like it.

First off Minnesota has a huge contract with Cousins and I believe they have a couple FAs they'd like to get back. I understand that we maybe shouldn't be paying AJ, Boyd, Mixon, Eifert and possibly DIGGS all high contracts. But the hope is we can get Eifert for a fair price and AJ for a good price and Mixon for a very reasonable price. Adding Burrow on a rookie contract. Its do able.

With Diggs we add stability, experience and a very good route running WR that can take it to the house whenever.

Who do we trade? Cordy Glenn and Alex Erickson. If that dont work, we add a 2021 4th.

The Vikings need OT and there they get one and gain CAP space.

Now to the Bears. It is not at all a secret that the bears want a stopgap QB to groom a future QB not named Trubisky. Lots of fans have given up on him and I read that Nagy said Trubisky isn't the answer or something like that.

Roquan is a slight risk but assuming he has his shit together mentally, it's a no brainer. Even if he still needs some time for whatever personal issues he has, it's still worth the trade. AD for Roquan straight up. The Bears owe Leanord Floyd a pretty penny, I think 13plus but I believe he has no dead cap so., him not playing to expectations they just cut him and they actually now have like 2mil more CAP space after the deal goes down. It's a win win for everyone.

Now we go into FA and get Schobert or if were lucky Littleton and we are looking pretty good at LB.

Schobert, Roquan, Pratt as starters looks A OK with me.

If we could still afford a Vic Beasley that would just be perfect. But for this thread I'll just stick to the 3 above (for bengals FA sake, I mean I'm already getting way too in depth).

So. With Diggs at the helm, we look pretty thick at WR all the sudden. A corps that could be VERY VERY good if the coach gets creative and the players stay healthy.

AJ, Diggs, Boyd, Ross, Tate, Morgan, draft pick. .

If Diggs contract takes us too far and we cant keep DD or Billings then we look toward Kirkpatrick. If it saves us 4 Mil per year we could definitely negotiate with DD and Billings with his money or just try to whip up a Dre trade. Haven't looked too far into that (maybe y'all can down below) but I have confidence that even with Diggs we will still be ok to get one of Billings/DD done.

Now I'll try to do a mock that isn't too unrealistic.

ROUND 2 we trade down to LAC pick 33 for picks 37 and 107

Round 4 we drop down to Arizona from 97 to 104 and gain pick 135 in the 5th

1. Joe Burrow

2. Trevon Diggs (have seen him go from teens to the third, Stefons brother)

3. Terrell Lewis (slips due to injuries, fits our 3-4 position we need)

4. Lynn Bowden (projected all over so I decided to meet in the middle and get us the wild card of the draft here)

4b. Trey Adam's (could go anywhere also bc injury concerns)

5. La'Jarius Sneed (thumper and productive, needed depth if Dre or DD is out.

5b. Robert Windsor (if Billings rolls, take this high motor kid)

6. Calvin Throckmorton (versatility, I've seen him picked in the 7th like 9 times now so I'm giving him a little love and picking him in the 6th.

7. Jordan Glasgow (poor man's hybrid, 6'1" 227 I think. Now we just need to bring in Graham for the trio and some OG/C depth)

Let me know what you guys think of going this way.

I see it as surrounding Burrow with reliable vets at the skilled positions. An underdog, relatively young line that will want to protect the 2 Joe's back there and prove the fans wrong.

I see a defense that has an opportunity to bring in some new blood that fits the mold of Lou's visions. I see coach Anarumo get a big start on grooming his D into what he wants it to look like.
