Coming into the 2019 college football season, Tua Tagovailoa was one of the draft’s top prospects. Since then, Joe Burrow has taken the nation, and the scouts, by storm. It still remains that Tua is a top pick in the upcoming draft.
After a highly successful three-year career at Alabama was derailed by a dislocated hip, Tua’s draft stock dropped tremendously.
Although still considered a top prospect, there is a possibility that Tua rises to the top following the recent report that the scans on his hip we're “very good,” as noted by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Like any injury, those involved with Tua Tagovailoa’s rehab will closely monitor the script and his progression so as not to overload the hip. The draft prospect remains on track... https://t.co/QpIF1jjIUg

Tua played in nine games, missing the last several weeks of the season and the team’s bowl appearance. That absence and the uncertainty that those injuries bring with him has forced him to slip.
Throwing 43 touchdowns and being 34 yards shy of 4,000 yards as a sophomore, Tagovailoa was primed for a Heisman-caliber season. Sadly, it just didn’t happen as he was stopped in his tracks by these injuries which he attempted to play through.
Now, Tua’s draft stock is on the rise. And, with the Bengals have the No. 1 overall pick and potentially considering the Alabama quarterback, it’s important to note that he’s once again nearing 100%.
Burrow is still the clear top overall pick, and after a season like he just put up, it seems almost impossible for anything to take that title away from him.
So, for Bengals fans, there’s really no need to worry, obviously, unless you want Tua and then this news should bring some hope back. At the end of the day, it’d still be shocking to see anyone not named Joe Burrow even have a shot at being drafted No. 1 overall.
