Andy Dalton has second-best odds to be Patriots’ next starting QB

But the favorite is already on the Patriots’ roster.

The Patriots are now in the market for a new quarterback after Tom Brady announced he was leaving New England.

Meanwhile, the Bengals are looking to trade Andy Dalton, and the Patriots have been rumored to be a potential suitor.

As it turns out, Dalton now has the second-best odds to be New England’s next starting quarterback, according to Sports Line.

The favorite to be New England’s next signal-caller is Jarrett Stidham, a 2019 fourth-round pick who the team has hope for. But even if Stidham is the future of this franchise, Bill Belichick will absolutely look to add another quarterback this offseason, if for no other reason than added competition.

The Bears have also been rumored to be a team interested in trading for Dalton, so perhaps there’s a market starting to build for the veteran quarterback, which could help lead to a better trade haul for the Bengals if a deal gets made.
