The Cincinnati Bengals are losing cornerback Darqueze Dennard, as the former first-round pick is signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Former #Bengals CB Darqueze Dennard is headed to the #Jaguars, source said. The former first rounder lands in Jax as they continue to add.

Dennard was poised to leave in 2019 when he hit unrestricted free agency for the first time, but offseason knee surgery killed his market, leaving him to sign a one-year prove-it deal with the Bengals. While he missed the start of the season while on PUP, Dennard had a solid season overall that will hopefully net him a nice payday.
Unfortunately, it won’t be with the Bengals, who have cornerback William Jackson entering a contract year, while fellow starter Dre Kirkpatrick is someone the team needs to move on from. Had Dennard re-signed with the Bengals, the odds of Kirkpatrick being traded or released would have gone up.
The good thing is this news came right after the Bengals made a big splash signing D.J. Reader, which should help alleviate the pain of losing Dennard.
