Chalk Talk: The 2020 NFL Draft’s top safeties

Who could provide an upgrade for the Bengals at safety on Day 2 of the draft?

There are some very interesting prospects at the safety position in the 2020 NFL Draft.

At the beginning of the season, Grant Delpit from LSU was seen as a top 15 pick, but after some struggles this season, Alabama’s Xavier McKinney has emerged as the top choice.

Of course rangy Cal safety Ashtyn Davis has his fans, as does NFL legacy Antoine Winfield Jr. And outside of the FBS level, Southern Illinois Saluki Jeremy Chinn and Kyle Dugger from Lenoir-Rhyne have emerged as top NFL prospects.

In this video, I look at the way the Bengals have used Jessie Bates III and Shawn Williams to try to determine which safety is the best fit in Cincinnati.

All of the film review content will be on SB Nation’s Cincy Jungle podcast channel, along with the other episodes of The Orange and Black Insider. New shows like the “Orange is the New Black” podcast from Ace Boogie and Zim WhoDey and “Sorry If I Spit When I Speak” from Dadio Makdook and Dr. Hodgie Smodgie have also been added to the channel’s audio slate.
