This is an interesting development, as it could improve TE play for the Bengals if Howard pans out. His skill set appears to align with ZT's 11-man scheme, and Joe B. could use a productive TE in his rookie year. Howard is on the last year of his rookie contract and should be plenty motivated this upcoming season to prove his worth on a second contract. Meanwhile his cap hit would only be about $3.5 million, which is modest, when compared to his potential production. The question then becomes "what asset/s does the team use to pull the trigger"? Thoughts?
