The Cincinnati Bengals need help at wide receiver, especially when it comes to guys who can threaten deep with John Ross and A.J. Green not reliable due to injury concerns and age in the case of Green.
Penn State’s K.J. Hamler offers that deep threat, but he has concerns with a receiver that is so small. He doesn’t extend for the ball as well as you’d like and can struggle with physicality, but the positives he offers outweigh the negatives.
Here is a look at Hamler’s measureable (he only did the bench press at the Scouting Combine due to injury and did 15 reps):
- Height: 5’ 9”
- Weight: 178 lbs
- Arms: 30 3/4”
- Hands: 9 3/8”
