NFL Video Draft Profile: Denzel Mims offers a safe floor and a lofty ceiling

A video breaking down former Baylor WR Denzel Mims’ potential in the NFL.

Denzel Mims 2020 Draft Profile

The Bengals still need a wide receiver going into the NFL Draft and with the depth of the class, it could be the best player available at the 33rd overall pick. Former Baylor wide receiver Denzel Mims would certainly qualify as that if he sneaks out of the first round.

The story of Mims’ rise to notoriety started at the Senior Bowl and really legitimized itself at the NFL combine. He was an already intriguing prospect who displayed a knack for nuanced route running against the best senior defensive backs in the draft. As if that wasn’t enough, he essentially left everybody speechless at the combine a month later. Let’s take a look at his exact testing numbers:

  • Height: 6’3”
  • Weight: 207
  • 40-yard dash: 4.38
  • 3-cone: 6.66
  • Broad Jump: 131”
  • Vertical Jump: 38.5”
  • Shuttle: 4.43
