The Bengals were busy on Day 2 with two picks that should clearly have an impact on the 2020 season and beyond for the team. They started off Round 2 with the surprising selection of Clemson wide receiver Tee Higgins. Then they finished up by adding Wyoming linebacker Logan Wilson, which may end up being the most popular pick of the day.
Some fans may have done things differently, but the fact is Cincinnati ended up with two really talented players with their picks, and it looks even better when they get added onto the selection of Joe Burrow.
Here are some of the best reactions to the Bengals selections from Day 2:
Tee Higgins reactions
The Bengals added a very A.J. Green-like wide receiver at the top of the second round. Many fans were hoping for a player like offensive tackle Josh Jones or fellow wide receiver Denzel Mims. While those players wouldn’t have been bad additions, it was clear that the Bengals were high on the former Clemson Tiger. Not to mention Higgins gets to work under his favorite wide receiver.
Tee Higgins is a Bengals fan and A.J. Green fan. He may end up replacing him.
— Paul Dehner Jr. (@pauldehnerjr) April 24, 2020
Tee Higgins had 27 career receiving touchdowns, which is tied for most in Clemson school history with DeAndre Hopkins and Sammy Watkins. Pretty decent company
— Marisa Contipelli (@BengalsMarisa) April 24, 2020
WR room now: A.J. Green, Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd, John Ross, Auden Tate.
— Paul Dehner Jr. (@pauldehnerjr) April 24, 2020
Joe Burrow, Joe Mixon, Giovani Bernard, C.J. Uzomah.
The hope and projection of the offensive line is the gamble they are taking.

I’m fine with Higgins. Preferred Mims and Pittman, but WR was a need. Higgins brings size and jump ball ability.

Bengals should be crazy good in the red zone this year.
Mentioned Higgins as a distinct possibility at #33 last night.

I think Higgins has the potential to be special (athletic test numbers notwithstanding). This generation’s Carl Pickens (another 2nd round gem)...? https://t.co/1tMh9UogsX

New Bengals WR Tee Higgins wins with his absurd catch radius and ball skills. His ability to separate isn’t on par with Jeudy or Lamb, but his ability to climb the ladder and win down the football field is impressive.pic.twitter.com/z4nNW46E9v

With the first pick of the second round, the #Bengals had trade options. But no, they pick at No. 33 #Clemson WR Tee Higgins. His ankle got flagged for stiffness, but it barely affected his draft stock. Joe Burrow gets a weapon.

I hate all the “should’ve been Mims” takes, the pick was Tee Higgins, he’s an exceptional talent, he’s great at catching contested balls, he’ll be a weapon for Burrow for the next decade! Higgins was OUR pick! He’s OUR guy! Added bonus, he was already a Bengals fan! #WHODEY

Zac Taylor listed a few traits about Tee Higgins that they like: Excellent hands, consistency, great catch radius, has a mentality that he's not going to go down after a catch, and added he's going to score points down the field.

It’s not that Tee Higgins is bad, it’s that we could’ve drafted a better prospect here.
— Bengals Perspective (@BPBengalsHandle) April 24, 2020
His athleticism limits his upside.
Grade: C-
Remember, #Bengals knew a lot about Mims. Their WR coach had him at Baylor. They had him at Senior Bowl. They knew him. Had a choice. They knew enough to pick Higgins.

Reactions to LB Logan Wilson in the third round
The Bengals address one of their biggest needs by bringing the Wyoming product. He showed he had a nose for the football with a number of interceptions. He also recorded over 400 tackles during his time in college. Safe to say getting an athletic linebacker who can cover in the third round was fairly popular with fans.
Logan Wilson is a stud. Great pick for the Bengals

— Dan Schneier (@DanSchneierNFL) April 25, 2020
Logan Wilson to the #Bengals another excellent value pick here. One of the most fun players I watched this entire pre-draft process.
I think this could be one of the best picks in the class.
Here is a pick made because of the Senior Bowl. Logan Wilson. #Bengals

ESPN broadcast talking about Logan Wilson
Logan Wilson is a BEAST of a linebacker. Aggressive downhill player who tackles hard and has great instincts. Can drop into coverage too. Great value pick for the #Bengals
— Shane P. Hallam (@ShanePHallam) April 25, 2020
Wilson is a tackling machine/ball hawk. 400+ tackles w/10 INTs and 18 PBUs. Unheard of production for an ILB. @Bengals might’ve found a star. #NFLDraft

Before you jump all over the Bengals for not taking Jones, @JoeGoodberry had Wilson as a late-1st rounder (32nd overall) on his board. This pick may be a steal.

Bengals completely ignoring their not good offensive line after putting the franchise on the shoulders of a 23-year-old QB is baffling.
