The Cincinnati Bengals kicked off the 2020 NFL Draft with Joe Burrow. Then they added to Burrow’s arsenal by selecting Clemson standout wide receiver Tee Higgins in the draft’s second round.

Now, the Bengals, with the 65th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, have selected Logan Wilson.

An outstanding linebacker from Wyoming, the Bengals needed an athlete in the middle of the field to help cover players like Baker Mayfield and Lamar Jackson, two athletic quarterbacks Cincinnati will face multiple times in 2020.

This was a home-run pick for the Bengals.

The Bengals, who watched first-round pick Jonah Williams sidelined all last season with an injury, had many thinking they were going to add to their offensive line, but this may have been much more important.

Being shredded in the middle of the field along with losing Nick Vigil, the Bengals needed a player to come in and shore up their linebacking corps.

As for his metrics, Wilson ran a 4.63 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. On top of that, he posted a 121-inch broad jump, a 32-inch vertical jump. Wilson stands 6-foot-2 and checks in at 241 pounds.

After starting his career at Wyoming as a safety, Wilson moved to linebacker, a position he thrived in. He ended his senior season with 105 tackles, making that his fourth-straight season with over 90 tackles.

Following the pick, ESPN’s analysts had nothing but great things to say about Wilson, as they called his selection potentially one of the best in the entire draft. Wilson’s value is obvious, and his fit is even better.

That said, how do you feel about adding Wilson to an already-improved defense.
